Secondary School: Years of Growing Independence

The secondary school years are a time when children become increasingly independent, responsible and ready to take on new challenges. Saulės Gojus is a secondary school in Vilnius where students not only deepen their academic knowledge, but also develop the most important competences of the 21st century: the ability to learn, critical thinking, and intercultural communication skills.
Our private secondary school is based on a coherent and personalised education, which is centred around the development of the competence to learn. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning, to set their own goals, to plan their own activities and to reflect on their progress. The systematic use of self-directed learning methods contributes to the development of independent, motivated and responsible young people who are able to manage their time effectively and to work individually and in teams.

Learning Differently: From Classroom Lessons to Independent Projects

At Saulės Gojus secondary school, the education process is organised using a unique self-directed learning system that reflects the way students at university work and is comprised of classroom-based learning, seminars and independent work. A variety of learning monitoring tools allow students to keep track of their own progress, while skilled teachers and personal mentors monitoring their improvement help them to find the most appropriate ways of learning and to tackle the challenges they face.

Bilingualism Strengthens Cognition

Our secondary school continues to adopt the bilingual education model, where English becomes an everyday learning tool and a language on a par with Lithuanian, as it is the language of instruction for part of the curriculum, following the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach. A deep knowledge of a second language broadens learning opportunities, allowing students to access a wide range of sources and materials, and thus to achieve better learning outcomes in languages as well as in other areas.

Secondary School: the Path to an Independent Future

Our private secondary school is not only a place to acquire academic knowledge, but also a space where students develop critical thinking, creativity and collaboration skills. In our school, every student has the opportunity to discover his or her own strengths, to try out different ways of learning, and to prepare for the challenges of the future without being afraid to make mistakes.
Saulės Gojus secondary school is a place that fosters independence, creativity and responsibility for one‘s own learning. If you are looking for an environment where your child can develop self-confidence, intrinsic motivation and perseverance, we invite you to get to know our school and join our community.
